Spotted Flycatcher copyright photograph by David Lingard We knew that it was a good year for Spotted Flycatchers (Muscicapa striata) as we had seen quite a few in the garden. It was a special treat when the young arrived - and this one sat, looking slightly bemused, on a branch near the house and stayed there long enough for me to get the camera equipment out for this picture.
